Another busy couple of weeks on Cronicle and writing for local papers. Some highlights include the release of my latest Kids in the Community column for Crazy Wisdom Journal, where I venture into some interesting local animal rescues and find out the proper etiquette for your kids wanting to get involved.

Also, we’ve been busy covering several tech events on Cronicle, and also highlighted one of the cultural elements that keeps tech workers in the Ann Arbor area: the top-rated Ann Arbor Film Festival, which also has some tech connections these days.

Cronicle is now expanding to cover tech news from across the Great Lakes region, from Lansing’s LEAP Proto Accelerator that supports insurance tech startups to Detroit’s transformation into a new tech hub. If you would like to keep up with the news we can’t post here, make sure to sign up for our newsletter. And if you’re a startup in the Great Lakes region, we want to hear from you! Email the editor here to be interviewed about your tech-related startup, expansion news, funding, or social impact or climate change tech-enabled venture. We include accelerators/incubators and funding orgs and companies working in software, security, life sciences and biomedical, sustainable energy tech, and a bit of mobility (mostly focused on tech like autonomous and conversational AI).
